Ms. Anwar is the 3rd child of the Aziz family.

She was a tomboy and was particularly close to her brother Ikram. Moreover, also close to her father.

Known for being independent minded, she started a school protest in high school to protest the treatment of a fellow female student.

Has a very entrepreneurial spirit which led to her having starting multiple businesses.
She is the first member of Aziz family to immigrate to USA.
She (along with her husband Mahmood Anwar) sponsored many members of the family to USA.

She settled in Florida in 1973 and remained there till approximately 1995 and moved then to Maryland which she now considers home.

She LOVES palm trees

She started a non-profit (UAMD-Urdu Academy of Maryland) to teach Urdu to the next generation and has published teaching materials for learning Urdu. These items are sold on Amazon and Etsy. She also teaches classes online and in person.

She is also involved in Circle of Rights, a non-profit to bring stroke awareness to the local community.
